Goodbye

Everyone is talking about Marchisio's red card and Suarez's biting incidents today, so I just want to take a few minutes to say thank you and farewell to Pirlo and Buffon, who retired from international football after that match. I've been watching them play since I was still in school, and I think it's like the end of an era to me. Most probably because it means that I need to stop being an immature prick and start being an adult :(

I know everyone is jizzing about Pirlo nowadays (yes, he deserves every praise coming his way) but to me, his best period was between 2004-2009, more precisely after Euro 2004 (when Italy was knocked out at the group stage) and after Euro 2008 (Italy lost in quarter-final to Spain). He's brilliant now, but to watch him play back then was a thing of beauty. And I still remember when Buffon injured his hand just before Euro 2000 and had to make way Francesco Toldo :( he was so heartbroken :(

I hope that lesbian-looking toddler Marco Verratti, who played brilliantly against England and Uruguay before he was subbed off, can fill Pirlo's shoes. Pirlo was noticed when he was in his late 20s and Verratti is only 21, so I think Verratti is going to be phenomenal as he matures. And I love Sirigu even when he's being an asshole. In case you don't know, both of them are playing for PSG.

Talking about lesbian-looking toddlers in the Italian squad, I'm bothered with how clean-shaven some of them are. I know, the national team before this one (think World Cup 2002 team) were clean-shaven too but I became so used to seeing facial hair on their faces over the years that it came as a shock when I saw the very pretty Immobile, Darmian and Verratti's faces. Grow some grizzly hair you Italian men so I can breathe easy again.

World Cup 2002 team. Ahahahah at the shirt. If I'm not mistaken this was the team during the group stage because Inzaghi (no.9) started in the game in round of 16. And lolololol at Cristiano Doni that cheating, match-fixing bastard.

I know you non-football/pseudo fans won't understand hahaha but the thought of Italy without both of them is making me sadder than sad :(

Goodbye.
