Generically, I made a few predictions of who would be going to the AJL finals a few weeks ago. Let's have a recap.

So far I only guessed 4 songs correctly and I got 5 wrongs. 3 of my selections will be sung next week and based on my dismal predictions, I'm guessing only one of them will go through, and I think Yuna has the most chances among them all because of her AIM award stupid fiasco.

If Karma were not chosen, I sure as hell would boycott this AJL and ask my friends to do the same too. Not even the allure of Sungai Lui would make me watch this show anymore if they left out Karma.

Sokong industri muzik tanah air my ass kalau lagu merepek macam Cinta Muka Buku diangkat sampai macam tu sekali melebihi lagu bagus macam Pokok, Luar Biasa dan Bagaikan Bidadari. Shame on you judges, shame on you. I wonder how you people manage to sleep at night knowing that you put most of the shitty songs through.

I hate to sound like I'm entitled to something here but I've been supporting the local scene before it was cool to support the local scene. So can you imagine how sad I am to see that the our local music scene has come to this? All those talks about how revolutionised the local music scene is now as compared to the dark ages (the time when dangdut and rock meleleh ruled the charts) are just bullshit.

Cinta Muka Buku cuma guna 3 chords saja, so I don't see anything special about that and yet this song became so big that there are covers and parodies (any publicity is good publicity) everywhere. It's mind-boggling. I really don't see the appeal.

I'm so disappointed with the Malaysian music scene right now.
