i have just finished watching Carandiru, and man that is one disturbing film. i don't know which is more disturbing, the fact that i'm really bothered that the film was dubbed in Spanish (i couldn't find the one in Portuguese with English subtitles), the fact that the film is filled with scums of the earth that have done unspeakable crimes, or the fact that Rodrigo Santoro was a lingerie-wearing tranny in that film.
the one in the black negligee? that's the 6'2 3/4'' Rodrigo Santoro.
well, the last part shook my equilibrium more, i guess.
if you think that was disturbing, let me refresh your mind on who was Xerxes in 300.
yup, that's Rodrigo too.
i don't know what else to say about the film, except that i'll be having nightmares of what i saw for weeks. never have a film moved me more since No Country For Old Men.
that speaks volume enough, don't you think?

i watched 300 without any sound. and on fast-forward mode. i don't know this guy but that very last picture... damn, he's so fine!
