the first thing i did when i arrived home was plugged in my father's laptop and then i logged on to the internet. yes, thank you, i know i'm horrible.
i had a scary 8-hour bus ride experience. the bus was roach-infested, and i think the last time i saw that many cockroaches was when i watched Joe's Apartment all those years ago. you can thank God that i didn't cause a scene when i saw them because you know, i'd never saw the reason to kill God's other creatures even when they were at their annoying selves (well, in this case the roaches' selves). i'm telling you the truth, really while crossing my fingers behind my back. and then, there came a time when i needed to pee so badly but i couldn't go through with my, urmm,.. plan because i was afraid that i would get herpes from all those toilet-sharing. i swear to God even the smell from the toilets can tempt a gentle man to commit murder, it was, and i guess it will always be, that vile. i could only get rid of my body waste when i reached Kajang bus station. i was in pure, real agony, to tell you the truth.
i'm sure most of you know how eager i was to be back in Kajang, but i started to miss my aunts and my young cousins and my uncles ' money even before i hopped on the bus. so, i was really grateful that i managed to extract a promise from my aunt that she and her family will come to visit us here during the school's break in March. my aunt ( i call her Su) is a simple woman, so i was a bit touched to hear that the thing she wants to do most when she'll be here is to watch as many movies in the cinema as she can. mind you, the last film she watched on the silver screen was Azura, the 80s film starred by Jamal Abdillah and Ogy Ahmad Daud. aren't you a bit sad to hear that?

she's beautiful, isn't she? too bad she inherits the family's famous flat nose even though her mother's nose is a sight to behold. poor girl.

tell me, how can you say no to this face?

and this?

what about when both of them turn their full charm on you?
(see that noses? our family is cursed.)
and these two she-devils are the most charming people i have ever met. they can leech every RM you have without you having the slightest idea, and you will find it very hard it to escape from the web of their charmingness. even my older cousins who already have their own kids shower them with the most outrageously expensive nonsense they can ever find. people also seem to forgive them of their outrageous mistakes. don't let the angelic faces fool you, these two have a reputation for being the biggest gossips that even my oldest aunt, whose reputation as a busybody is renowned in Kota Bharu, looks tame when compared to them.
really, it's true. but you can never find it in your heart to ever be mad at them. i should've let them teach me how to turn on those charms.
