Black stars
It's scary to realise how much control True Detective has on my life. I watched all episodes at least twice, I frequent the discussion boards every day and I spend hours rummaging through each and every post for fear of missing something ahahahah it's crazy. I never commented in anything though, I just let these sharp-eyed detectives discover everything and I just read every little shit they discovered.
And I swear there are a lot of crazy people out there. Since True Detective is a story about murders suspected to be the work of a serial killer(s), the fans of the show are a lot more crazier than Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Sherlock combined. Oh and talking about Breaking Bad, one of the things that put me off against reading anything about it is this.
This photo is a joke but, you get my drift. And yes, it was madness. These people thought there was a symbol in everything and every little thing was connected to each other. And don't let me get started on Sherlock.....
Ahahahahahah one of my favourite gifs. I know zero people wants to know, but my #1 favouritest gif is this.
Amazing. I used the above gif every chance I got, especially whenever my ex-officemate emailed me about how bitchy those Akaks were to her.
Anyway, back to True Detective.....
Oh yeah, those fans. I think True Detective fans are worse than Sherlock's and Breaking Bad's fans because in both, we already know who the bad guys are and we (kinda) know the bad guys' motives. In True Detective, nothing is absolute, and it drives the fans crazy. Since the show writer said 85% of the plot is in the first episode, all sorts of theories pop out. I'm aware of at least 4 theories; (SPOILER ALERT-maybe) cult, paedophilia ring, Rust/Marty was/were the killer(s) and Keyser Soze, and I'm sure there are dozens more. The more I read about TD, the crazier it becomes, good God these people need a life more than I do.
And please, add in all those feminists and Christians and anti-Christians and anti-racists and whatnot, the crazies form a full wacky circle. Seriously ahahahahah what the fuck man, talking about the lack of black people in rural Louisiana and the lack of powerful female characters at a place and time where TV was a luxury. It's amazing to see how people can get offended at the smallest things.
I need to put this out there. I can't believe how attractive I find Matthew McConaughey in this and I've watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and that shitstormer The Wedding Planner and trust me, he didn't do anything to me. But in True Detective, oh God, I take back all the bad things I have ever said about him. And yes, he deserves every praise he got from his acting in True Detective. Apart from him, I like Charlie Lange too.
Now I'm off to watch the preview for Episode 6 for the 1,245th time and read everything everyone has to say about it.
