This is a political post, kindly skip if you're sick of politics already.
Yes, I can hear you say, "orang lain cakap pasal politik, kau pun nak cakap pasal politik", but hey, benda 4 (or 5) tahun sekali kot. If I can endure your posts about jual tudung or lotion kurus or vitamin C or pure marine collagen then you can definitely endure my political posts.
Here it goes....
An opinion does not require evidence, so I totally abhor people who try to pass off their opinions as facts. And more and more people are pulling off shits out of their asses and call them facts, it's amazing.
I actually love it when people post about political issues, because of these reasons;
- it shows the maturity level of the posters
- it shows the posters' level of understanding about the current issues
- it's like a game to me. I can actually tell whether these people use emotions or logics in making statements. But then I guess everyone can.
- I actually respect (?) everyone's opinions, no matter how stupid or illogical their statements seem to me. I always believe that everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion because I believe that I am entitled to call them "bangang" everytime they say stupid shits. Alamak I contradict myself hahah. I'm sure other people think that my opinions are illogical and they call me bangang too, but that's okay.
- and this is what I love the most - when people say things like "I'm not racist but......(continue to say something racist). Just own up to your racism, you ass, and be done with it. Tak payah nak cakap banyak and then lepas tu post things like "Kita Melayu kena bersatu-padu supaya tidak dijajah oleh orang Cina, etc,etc... Sekurang-kurangnya aku boleh buat-buat tak kenal kau kalau terserempak tepi jalan because I don't want your stupidity to contaminate my person.
(I don't know what's wrong, the bullet points are not visible so I'm using different-coloured fonts).
Talking about #5, I don't get why people are so gung-ho about the Malaysian Chinese and all when they've never experienced acute racism like I did when I was in school and when I worked as an auditor. My Add Math teacher sometimes taught the class in Chinese because she thought the Malay students were hopeless (there were only 2 Malay students in my class). In Physics and Chemistry classes, my ex-classmates would ask questions in Chinese as if we, the Malay students, are stupid enough to understand those 2 subjects. I bet these teachers were pissed when we got B and C for all the subjects (shut up! SPM during my time was hard, okay? Nak dapat A tu kena menangis air mata darah dulu) And when I was an auditor, I was passed on for 2 promotions to give way to my (undeserved, in my opinion) Chinese colleagues. Even my increment wasn't as much as what my Chinese colleagues received, the reason why I left for a greener pasture.
Have you ever seen me say something like "kita Melayu kena bersatu-padu supaya tidak dijajah kaum Cina" and all that? Then shut the hell up.
Fun fact: keistimewaan orang Melayu is mentioned in Article 153 in Federal Constitution, so it's not something that can easily be thrown away. Come Cina, or hell or water, keistimewaan orang Melayu cannot be taken away, unless you have 2/3 majority then baru boleh amend, itu pun with the consent of Majlis Raja-Raja. Faham tak orang-orang yang rasa orang Cina ni nak menjajah kita? Faham tak? Faham tak? Faham tak? Kalau tak faham lagi, aku taktau nak cakap apa dah.
And I don't get why some Malays think that Islam's greatness is diminished when PAS formed a coalition with PKR and DAP. DAP has Indians and Malays too, so I don't get it. Lim Kit Siang is not the only one who voices out against hudud, at least he's not as biadap as Chua Soi Lek who used the issue of hudud to scare off the Chinese voters (Exhibit A: radio ad saying 1 vote to DAP = 1 vote to PAS). Islam is universal, it's not exclusive to Malays only. I really don't get the fuss.
Do I really think that there will be a clash among the races à la 13 May 1969? No I don't. I believe that Malaysians are mature enough to know that a riot is futile. What's the use of asking for peace and stability if we can't even keep peace among ourselves? It's a shame really, to see that the racial issues are still being raised by some unscrupulous politicians. It's 2013, racism shouldn't be an issue among us.

If you're a friend of mine on Facebook, you'd notice that I changed my profile picture to black. It's not because I'm a PR supporter that I do that, but it's a protest against SPR, like the whole Adnan Yaakob issue. Memula dah announce dia kalah, lepas tu blackout, tetiba announce dia menang pulak. Apa kes?
Putting a black profile picture is a protest against SPR, just like Bersih. It's not against BN. Habis tu kenapa nak kecik hati sangat? It's not against you people, it's against SPR, got it? Walaupun mesti lah terasa jugak sebab dah menipu kan. Just accept defeat gracefully lah, ini nak main blackout-blackout pulak.
Talking about defeats, I'm actually sad to see a few intellectuals lost, like Dr Dzulkefley Ahmad, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (he's an UMNO candidate, if you don't know), Dr Aziz Bari and Dato' Dr Harun Din. Ada gerakan menolak intellectuals ke apa ni?
And I'm not totally blind when it comes to PR's faults. Siapa la yang bangang sangat mintak tolong Obama dan Queen Elizabeth tu? Taktau ke yang Obama tu pun bawak masuk orang Latin America (a.k.a Bangla in American) untuk banyakkan undi? And because he supports gay marriage. Itu je pun sebabnya dia menang, bukannya sebab dia competent sangat pun.

Memandangkan this is my first long-ass post in many months, aku rasa boleh la cover untuk sebulan.
I hope someone post this on Facebook hehe.
