I'm so going to have a problem with my sleeping pattern. I didn't sleep a wink during the flight after transit I felt like throwing a tantrum just for the hell of it. I felt like throwing a tantrum for real when I knew that Portugal lost to Spain on penalty shoot-outs. I feel for you, Portuguese all over the world, I feel for you. I was really rooting for Ronaldo to finally shine through, tapi ish, nak buat camne kan.
During the 7 hours and 50 minutes flight, I played this song non-stop, well, minus the 2 hours I spent on watching Inside Man. I chose to watch the movie because Clive Owen was in it tapi siot je, he spent like 88% of his on-screen time behind the mask. Nasib baik movie tu best so layan je la sampai habis. Go watch it if you haven't. Highly recommended by a renowned (not-really) movie critic a.k.a me. Skip if you're looking for an action-packed movie though. Inside Man is more of an intelligent cat-and-mouse-games kind of storyline, you know, more like The Usual Suspects or LA Confidential or Catch Me if You Can type of movie. Haha I can't help it. I like those kinds of movies. Most people might find those movies (and me) boring.
Ooops the song I was talking about is this.

I prefer the live version btw.
And I know that Germany are the favourites to win tonight but I think it should be known that Italy have proved again and again that they can perform under pressure. I mean, the last time they were in a match-fixing scandal, they beat Germany in the semi-final and went on to win the World Cup. That was in 2006. What most young people don't know is that, the last time they won the World Cup before 2006, which was in 1982, they were in a match-fixing scandal too and they beat West Germany in the final. Both games ended with Italy winning the games with a 2-goal-advantage. 3-1 in 1982 and 2-0 in 2006.
History is repeating itself now. The 2006 Italy World Cup team repeated the history created by the 1982 team. And now the 2012 team is repeating the history created by the 2006 team. The situations are so similar it's amazing how very few people see it. But then none of them are interested in Italy haha I know.
So based on the history, the odds are more in Italy's favour as compared to Germany's I think. Different players and different eras but hey, Italy have Pirlo and de Rossi. Well, Germany have Ozil, who is a hell of a player and Schweinsteiger will start tonight too despite not being 100% fit, but I still think Italy can make it. Germany are very good and systematic but they know they're the favourites to win the tournament so they appear to be very confident, and you know how too much of everything can sometimes be the downfall. So I believe that the final will be a re-match between Italy and Spain and Italy will go on and win the cup.
Here's to hoping that tonight's match will be anything but boring. Speaking of boring football, I can't believe Spain survive this long in the tournament. God I think even watching paint dry is more interesting than watching Spain play.
Okay taknak cakap banyak-banyak takut jinx!
