A blind item?

This thought has been rolling around my mind for days now and I feel like writing this supaya rasa lega sikit.

This has nothing to do with me so I shouldn't feel bothered at all but still, it's something that permanently stuck in your head but dear God it bugs me so. Maybe I should put a disclaimer somewhere that this may or may not be true because after all, it's just a gossip. I do believe in the saying masakan pokok bergoyang kalau tak ada angin though, I just don't know how much of it is true.

I read dlisted.com religiously and so believe that a talentless hack who manages to get coveted roles and lucrative endorsements when there are so many more people who are more talented or more beautiful than him/her usually gets these rolls/endorsements on her/his back, and you have to ask ghetto-ly and crudely, "whose dick you have to suck to get where you are right now, bitch?" to this talentless hack.

I believe that the entertainment industry in one country does not differ much from another. And I believe that Malaysian entertainment industry is as dirty as the ones in Hollywood or Korea or Hong Kong. Whatever is happening in there, it could be happening in here too.

Now look here, I don't watch too much TV despite my weekly post/rant about Bicara Hati but even I know about this new actress who is soooooo popular right now you can't help but see her name everywhere. She's beautiful, I give her that, but her acting in her first movie was so atrocious and unbearable that even the mildest critics condemned her. Okay lah, that was her first movie, so it was forgivable lah kan tapiiiii before and after that movie she acted in a number of dramas and her acting doesn't seem to fare any better in any of them.

Tapi takpelah, since she's new and all kan. Everyone is willing to give her chances after chances to prove that she's not a total fluke but she seems blind to all that.

And then she won the coveted hot seat of being a host for one of the most popular shows in the country. This is a person who has no experience in hosting whatsoever and everyone seemed puzzled when it was announced that she'd be hosting the show with another recognizable name who has proven herself to be a decent host, unlike this trick.

So at this moment, the "whose dick you've sucked to be where you are, girl?" type of question just popped into people's heads because really, it's puzzling. And to top it off, she manages to land all sorts of lucrative endorsements, which is totally weird. Weird in the sense that the people who endorsed the products before her were suddenly dropped in favour of her.

This is like Siti Nurhaliza when she first started, but unlike this trick, Siti actually had tremendous talent and beauty so it's understandable lah why Siti was chosen to endorse all those products. But this trick?

I don't know, I could be making unjust assumptions/accusations about her because I really dislike her, maybe it's just her luck to be so in demand right now, she's beautiful after all, but like I said, all those questions just popped into your head.

Heh I bet you guys know who I'm talking about.
