Excuse me

There's something quite sickening about the whole murtad issue (sidenote: I still don't get why it's quite a rage nowadays, besides the fact that JAIS raided a church). It's kind of confusing to see that everyone suddenly has an opinion about this when murtad has been a thorn on Islam's side since I don't know when. It's not a new issue, so why all the hoo-ha now?

Since my knowledge about my own religion and race is pitiful, I *know* I shouldn't write about this but man, I can't take it anymore. People are spouting nonsense all over the internet and it's making me pissed. Why can't we be tolerant of others? We live in a multicultural country, why is it so hard for us to reach an understanding?

I've been saying this all along, I'd rather see Muslims go murtad than to see them mock Islam. Most apostates are adults anyway, they can think what's good and what's bad (please note that it's not "what's right and what's wrong") for themselves. Let them commit their own sins. Stop being all so righteous and butt into something that's not your business to begin with.

Maybe it's time for all the religious bodies to get their acts together and do what they're supposed to do. Stop chasing a non-issue and start solving all those complaints that are piling up. Solve one issue before you start another, what's so hard to understand?

Maybe it's time for Malaysia to take a leap of faith and change its laws of Constitution, (specifically, Article 11) especially the one that states, "Malays are considered as Muslims under the Constitution". Then and maybe then, all these issues will be resolved.

What an unpopular opinion huh?
