I've been hating that word for a long time already but lately the hatred just upped a few levels because an officemate of mine use it in EVERY sentence. It gets annoying when your BBMs and SMSes and notes look like this.
"Babe, you masuk ofis tak esok babe?"
"Babe, you dah tido ke babe?"
"Babe, camne nak buat ni babe?"
"Babe...! Tolong I babe esok!"
"Babe....!"
"Babe...!"
Tu belum IRL lagi. Tolong lah.
Lapar la pulak.
Today, when I asked the team "where are we going to eat?", one of them had the nerve to say McD. And I gave him a long ass talk about how "we're in Mid Valley right now, takkan nak makan McD kot!". And we had lunch at somewhere other than McD yeah victory!
I cannot believe I'm excited about Mid Valley. Like a friend always says, it's a mall for Indons and kampungs only, or is it Sogo*? But I love Mid Valley :( because it's nearer to Kajang compared to other big malls hahah.
*Because whenever my orang kampung visit KL, they ALWAYS go to Sogo. I really can't see what's the attraction. Macam dah takde tempat lain.
Oh anyway, I saw a few Tok Chas at Mid Valley today. My Dad is of Siamese descent and he calls Buddhist monks "Tok Cha"-he said it's a Siamese word but I think he's just playing. Anyway, I don't know whether it's really a Buddhist custom and I was ignorant before this or what, but I saw a few (presumably) Buddhists held their hands together and bowed their heads whenever they passed these Tok Chas. (we were in the same path so I couldn't help but noticing) and that amazed me.
I don't know why, I'm easily amused these days.
