My Mom's friend's son ran away from home 2 days ago. The night he ran away, his Mom gave him a long-ass nag because he has been skipping school. He's very obsessed with mangas, the reason he skipped school is because he reads all kinds of mangas religiously online all the time. By religiously all the time I mean RELIGIOUSLY ALL THE TIME.
Man, you should've seen this kid. He's weirder than any ordinary otaku. I have a feeling he's reading hentai.
So anyway, 2 days ago (Friday), his Mom went to his room as usual to wake him up. And you know what she found? A few bantals shaped like a person, you know, the shit you normally see in movies. Her Mom totally went ballistic and only his husband's good sense stopped her from making a police report there and then (the Mom doesn't have a lot of sense. That's a compliment, trust me). The next thing they knew, they got a phone call from the Atuk saying that the boy is at his house. In Kelantan.
This no-sense boy (I'm sure he inherited from his mother) apparently hitched a ride with nobody-know-who to Raub and from Raub he took a bus to Tanah Merah. Before he went, he emptied his Dad's wallet and packed a few refreshments, all by himself. Thank God nothing bad happened to him or it would be a sad event instead of a funny one.
Maybe the UMNO people are right that TV and other mediums of entertainment influence today's kids' behaviour.
But what about this? The whole family is into this shit.
I need to write a post about the Mom someday because she's really one of the funniest persons I've ever known. Most of her funny antics are unintentional which makes them all the funnier.
And I think it's sad and worrying that Ah Longs can challenge the law. Dunno why people don't take this matter seriously though.
(too lazy to link v2.0)
Sad.
And I'm too lazy to put up photos too.
