I've been listening to a few Tracy Chapman's songs since I heard Fast Car on BFM. She's awesome, and in my book, that counts for everything. Her hair is fantastic too. I guess everyone knows her by now (even if you did know her before) because one of the American Idol contestants (I'm in a like-I-give-a-shit kinda mood right now to google her name) sang Give Me One Reason tonight.
Tracccccccccyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I always change the lyrics when I sing this song hahaha. Homegirl sings it too fast!
And I bet everyone knows this song too but only a few people know that this song is Ms Chapman's.
I clapped at the end too.
And I have to share this story with everyone. My Mom and I were in the car when Bad Romance came on the radio. And then, out of nowhere, my Mom asked (I was singing along to the song. Don't judge), "Lady Gaga ni umur dia berapa sebenarnya?". And I answered, "Ntah la. Rasanya muda lagi. Sebaya Along (me) kot". And then my Mom said, "Ye ke? Tengok muka dia macam sebaya dengan Mama je." HAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU READ THIS, GAGA?
And everytime I'm in someone else's car and I want to sing along to the song played on the radio, I would ask whether the owner minds if I sing because when I was growing up, I had this friend whose mother was so strict she didn't allow us to sing in her car! Another friend of ours didn't know about this rule and she belted out a song in the backseat once. Kena bebel sepanjang perjalanan okay! Serik! Hahahaha. Whenever I had the chance to eat at her house, I'd sweat profusely because she expected everyone to use the correct cutlery. And I always used the wrong ones! Dulu lah, sekarang dah tau mana satu yang nak guna.

I said it one too many times, "Benci betul lagu Bad Romance ni!" but yet you find me humming along to the song. Especially yang part gaga-olala. Ntah betul ke idak pun taktau
