Saya juga tak pandai seperti kamu

Man, poor Ramsay. That was brutal.

Memandangkan hari Jumaat lepas merupakan Maulidur Rasul, I'd like to share a story. My Dad met a bunch of his friends yesterday (and today too) and they got into a discussion about a lot of topics. I didn't participate (saya sedar diri saya siapa) but I listened faithfully to everything. There's no guarantee what I'm about to say is right so forgive me if I get everything wrong.

This is serious stuff. I'm not lying.

Let's look at Surah al-Fath, ayat ke-29, shall we?

From what I've gathered from what these old men said, people nowadays don't really know who Nabi Muhammad S.A.W was. If they do, they'd be compassionate with each other instead of bickering and suing each other (Exhibit A: Dr Asri v Ustaz Zamihan). It's sad to see 2 persons that people look up to are in this state.

At a time when halal and haram can't be told apart, I think it's pitiful that we just take matters at face value instead of finding it out and researching things by ourselves (Exhibit B: people are boycotting American products because of their ties with Israel; Exhibit C: people turn their backs on Facebook because of Mark Zuckerberg. Actually he's not a Jew, he's an atheist. He only comes from a Jewish family. Go google, malas nak link). Dosa and pahala are between Allah and a person. Other people can't simply state things like, "Berdosa minum kat Starbucks sebab dia bagi duit kat Israel." Give me evidences, you naysayers, then maybe I'd come to believe that claim. And I'd only believe it if it's supported with lines from al-Quran, as-Sunnah and hadis.

Yes, I can be very wise when I want to be. Alamak, terperasan la pulak. Kan dah kurang pahala.

I think most of us haven't heard of Israiliyat (link 1 and 2). An example of Israiliyat is Nabi Yusuf's wife. In the Surah Yusuf, there is no mention of the wife's name. Then how did we know her name then?

Israiliyat is like a penglipur lara. Cerita yang betul dah ditokok-tambah. And DO NOT assume that's something that the Yahudi cooked up. Here's another example, telefon buruk. Rasanya semua orang pun pernah main kan? Berapa tahun beza zaman kita dengan zaman Nabi Yusuf, Nabi Muhammad S.A.W? Sedikit sebanyak mesti berbeza ceritanya.

I think that our problem is that we are too trusting. orang cakap benda ni, benda tu, terus percaya, tak cek pun betul ke tidak. And I really hate it when people say some things are haram without consulting anyone/ any source first. Like I said, soal dosa tu antara Allah dengan kita je. Kenapa orang lain cepat sangat menghukum?

And stop using the word "kafir/kufur" when you talk about non-Muslims. The word means "ingkar/rule-breaker" so it applies to any Muslim too.

Saya cuma berkongsi cerita. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I think I'm going to continue lepak-ing at Starbucks.

edit:

As much as I hate to admit this, Roon is one hell of a footballer.

edit lagi:

It's 2:46 AM and I'm still awake. This is the part where I curse Starbucks. I should've known that 3 caramel frapps are too much for me.

maaf,hanya pandangan saja...

sebelum kita letakkan hukum, mari kita flashback balik.

I think it's ironic when you put it that way. Who's to say that one is different than the other? You get what I mean?
