When I googled up "Brokeback Mountain Oscar snub", I got 3,590 results. I don't know why people are/were making up such a big fuss. It's not the first film that tells a story about gay cowboys (or gays, from the way people made a fuss over that. I mean, hello, Capote? Philadelphia? Groundbreaking my ass.) anyway. And don't give me all those Oscar people were being homophobic and they didn't want a gay film to win. You don't agree with me? Click here. This film won 3 Oscars, including Best Picture, the only X-rated film to do so.
Man, sometimes I really hope that people at least know the shits they're talking about. Like the Allah issue for instance (and thus the reason of this entry actually), suddenly people are being righteous Muslims. Suddenly everyone spouts out al-Quran verses. Suddenly, everyone becomes an expert in religious matters, when actually all those sounds they make only make them look stupider than ever.
Are we the Malays really that stupid and need to be coddled by the government over such matters? It's like we can't even differentiate what's wrong and what's right by ourselves. People out there already think that Islam is a rigid religion because all those so-called "religious people" are making decisions for everyone else (us) without consulting everyone else first. They promptly say one thing is haram but they don't even give any explanation why that thing is considered as haram. Come on, give us facts. Our thinking processes work just fine.
Haih. And I purposely use the word "Malays" instead of "Muslims". And I think that I sound like a bitchy snob these days.

Well, you already know what he said about Freemason and all that. I am more than willing to trust him (and everyone else about Freemason) but give me irrefutable evidences. Don't forget, their sources are as doubtful as mine too. Of course I've read a lot about Freemason (see my entry on Sherlock Holmes), that was why I asked.
