words don't make a man

...or a woman for that matter.

God i'm amazing. i am so copyrighting that piece of wisdom before some copycat use it.

i've said it before and i'll say it again. these shortened words are KILLING me!! one of my facebook friends just wrote this as her status,

"Ms X... wiken plz cum quick"

oh yeah she owes me a kidney because it just burst out! thank you for making me think of dirty , sweaty, sinful things. this is so wrong on many levels. 

what about this?

really. why can't she just replace the "w" with "r"? it really is so hard to read these people's writings.

i really, really, really don't get why they ever see the need to shorten their words and use all these out-of-the-world spellings. even Danish language, which is my current obsession, seems understandable compared to their writings. sometimes i have to read their wall-to-wall (well, i have ample time) several times before i really get the meaning. also i just found out that "ur" can also mean "you are" when all these years, i thought it only means "your".

i feel ancient.

when i stumbled onto forums, blogs, webs, whatever, i can really point out which comments are from English-speaking countries and which are not, because people from English-speaking countries spell their words fully while the others, especially from Asian countries, like to shorten their words. interesting, isn't it?

well, all i can say is, spell rightly guys, it's not as if you have to pay extra for spelling the words in full.
