wani is a liverpool fan.

it's been  awhile since i talked about football. i just watched the match between Chelsea and Liverpool in which Chelsea won, on-field and by aggregate, so i'm going to talk about football.

actually, i'm not a supporter of these 2 teams, but since Bayern Munich v Barcelona proved to be a bore (damn you, Ribery!) i had no choice but to choose either Chelsea or Liverpool tonight. it was a tough pick, because i fucking hate them but in the end, i chose Liverpool.

why?

because as much as i hate Liverpool and Chelsea, i hate Guus Hiddink more. my bitterness stemmed since World Cup 2002 in which South Korea, which was led by Hiddink unceremoniously ousted Italy from the competition. they didn't even have the courtesy to do it ethically and morally. that 2 disallowed goals will always be forever imbedded on my mind.

now you know why i can never bear to look at Park Ji-Sung (actually, i can never bear to look at any Man United's players either, but still..). everytime i saw him on-screen, i just wanted to throw something.

anyway, about tonight's result; 4-4? that was impressive. it was even more impressive because 4 goals were scored during the last 15 minutes of the game. when Lampard scored the decisive goal ('89), my heart just stopped, literally. really, i was heartbroken for a second there. i have to take my hats off to the Chelsea players though, they were pretty impressive tonight. no doubt about it. Hiddink, if you hear me, keep Ballack out of the way. he's useless and his presence is meaningless.

who said i would be happy to see Liverpool lose? well, another time maybe, but not tonight. tonight, for 2 hours, i was a Liverpool fan and my heart was broken over their defeat.

Owh.. I knew it! After their last performance, my thought is only that-their victory will only be for awhile. Not that I like to see them lose. I've lost faith ever since their performance are dropping back in 2004/2005. Well I'm no expert on this matter but c'est la vie, Liverpool.
