She is my life, and i'm her spirit

No, i'm not a lesbian who wants to declare her love to her partner, although the post title does suggest so, because it's a dialogue quoted from the newest movie i watched, aptly named The Spirit.

The Spirit tells the story of a man? phantom? who is neither alive nor dead and keeps the city he lives in safe from thugs and baddies, although his number one nemesis and the king of all thugs, Octopuss keeps slipping out of his grasps. Despite all his good deeds, The Spirit has one weakness though, women. He loves them, he uses them, he makes them fall in love with him. In other words, he's a class-A bastard.

Just like the two previous movies that associated with Frank Miller, Sin City and 300, this movie provides the greatest graphics the movie world has ever known, and the clashes of colours (like shocking red on a black and white background) are simply stunning. If you are familiar with Frank Miller's graphic novels, you'll undestand what i mean. This movie has one big flaw though, and just like Sin City and 300, it lacks emotion and good acting and the story sometimes is dragging. And I like to think that it is very taboo to link a movie that has Scarlett Johansson (who can't act past her boobs) and Eva Mendes (also another one who can't act past her ass) with 'good acting', for obvious reasons.

I can happily overlook the movie's flaws though, because of him. Just like all the girls in the movie, he makes me fall in love with him, although it has more to do with his physique than his charm. I tell you, Gabriel Macht is one very hot guy.

Other than watching the movie, i blew up rm119.00 on a East India blouse today. I'm still thinking whether it is worth it or will it be my worst buy ever.

Meanwhile, my city screams, and she needs me.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
