getting twilight-ed

like i said in my previous post, i 've watched Twilight, and it's stupid, and boring, and lifeless, and dead like Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson/R-Patz) and i can't believe i spent 2 hours watching that movie.

what? do you guys need more?
ok, i relent. but only this time, ok?

Twilight tells the story of a stupid teenage young girl who falls in a love with a stupid, pasty-looking 107-year-old teenage vampire. well, i guess that 107 years old is considered infant in vampires' world. anyway, the story goes even stupider after that, that i don't have the heart to tell you what happens next.

i can't recall when i watched a movie this bad. oh yes, now i remember, it was that dense Tokyo Drift, which i'm ashamed to admit that i fell asleep after 20 minutes into the movie. trust me, Twilight is worse. the casts are so lifeless and woodier (or is it wooder?) than Keanu Reeves that it's a wonder that Twilight received $70 million in its opening weekend. (to date it has garnered $138, 402, 068). i also wondered why on earth did that Angelina Jolie's flick Wanted was a box-office either because a gentle soul like mine abhors anything that glorifies violence, not adding the fact that it was stupid also.

ok, earth to Twilight.

i've read a review that the chemistry between the lead characters (Kristen Stewart and R-Patz/Bella and Edward) is so smouldering that even the movie-goers can feel the heat. sorry, but even my prejudiced eyes didn't see anything that spells chemistry during their scenes. i could see lust between them though, although that is something that i shouldn't mention since Kristen Stewart is only 18 years old, and thus a minor. her carnal desires aside, i don't think she has what it takes to be a brooding vampire's love interest. she is so bland-looking and gangly that i spent most of my time in the KTM Komuter wondering why she was picked as the lead actress in the first place.

and Robert Pattinson. why does it have to be you, Cedric? to be fair, i don't see his allure either. for me, he is just butt-ugly an okay-looking boy. so that is why, i was really annoyed with the girls and several makciks who audibly sighed when he first came out into the movie. trust me, they did. literally.

aaanyway, the casts are not the only ones to be blamed though, because the script and the story line don't help either. the story is dragging and slow and amateurish and progresses into something that is entirely pointless. the script, which is supposed to be funny (although there ARE people who think it was funny), is so stupid, that i'll only repeat it if you pay me money.

and the make-up, God! the make-up they put on the Cullens' family was supposed to make them look pale, but instead, only succeeded in making them look garish and yes, stupid. with the millions pouring in to the producer's coffers, it is expected that they'll find a better bunch of make-up artists, a better scriptwriter and a better everything.

i know there are people who think that what i said is based on the movie only, but then you're wrong. i did read the books, all four of them. i've read Stephanie Meyers' novels before they became famous. i read them when i was in my teenage years (well, barely, since i was 21 at that time) so, you can't blame me for being bias because it's a teenage movie. although, to be honest, i already have a certain dislike at her novels at that time.

i don't hate everything about the movie though. i like the baseball scene. i think it's cool. not super-cool, just cool.

but then, you get my drift. Twilight is not a bad movie, it's worse.

dah tengok The Day the Earth Stood Still. Not to your liking I supposed. Except for thehumanrace shouldsavetheirplanet part the movie doesn't have content or even actions so to say. Keanu Reeves is still kayu as always. But as you know he is good at that. Jaden Smith is better than him. And how old is he? 10/11 years old. Should have watch Body of Lies..
