i've just finished watching JUNO (lanun, lanun, lanun) and what an experience! the issue of teenage pregnancies are old news, even though it's still a taboo in the society, so what makes the movie different from others?

well, apart from a very excellent acting by ELLEN PAGE ( the girl who played juno) and the rest of the casts, the movie also has a very smooth screenplay (i think it was due to the smooth directing). this is one of the few movies that can make you laugh without any spastic humour and make you feel good after watching it. too bad i had to resort to piracy just to watch this movie, because if juno is available in malaysia's cinemas, my friends and i would definitely watch it over and over again. i wouldn't even be surprised if the movie pulled the biggest upset in this year's oscar. oh yeah, it is that GOOD.

and that brings me to a topic that has been in my head for quite some time-how do the people ( WHO ARE THEY ACTUALLY? I REALLY WANT TO BECOME ONE) decide which movies are allowed to be screened here? i really like to know, because they've been doing some very sloppy job lately. why they have decided to pass on movies like JUNO, MICHEAL CLAYTON, and MUNICH is a mystery to me. and how could they choose movies like MEET THE SPARTANS, JUMPER and REDLINE? really, those movies are an insult to my intelligence! tragic, i know.

can they really blame us if pirating is our only way to access to the best movies?
